Lemon Rice Recipe

Ingredients:
• 1 1/2 cups of rice cooked
• Salt to taste
• Oil
• pinch of Asafoetida
• 2 Red chilies
• 1 tbsp Urad dal
• 1 tbsp Channa dal
• 1/2 tsp Methi seeds
• 1/2 cup Peanuts
• 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
• few Curry leaves
• pinch of Turmeric powder
• 3 tbsp Lemon juice

Method:

• Heat Oil in a pan add mustard seeds. When they splutter add urad dal, chana dal, curry leaves, red chillies, asafoetida, methi seeds, peanuts, turmeric powder.
• Add the cooked rice, salt, lemon juice and mix well.
• Lemon rice is ready to serve with Boiled Egg or Pickle or Appalams/Pappadams |
