Puli Kuzhambu Recipe

Ingredients:
• 1 Onion diced
• 1 Potato diced
• 6 Garlic pods crushed
• 1 Tomato chopped
• 4 tsp Sambar powder
• 1 1/2 tbsp Tamarind paste
• Salt to taste
• Oil
• 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
• 1/2 tsp Urad dal
• 1/2 tsp Fenugreek seeds
• pinch of Asafoetida
• few Curry leaves
• 1/2 tsp Fenugreek seeds

Method:

• Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds. When they splutter, add urad dal, asafoetida, curry leaves, fenugreek seeds and garlic.
• Add onions and fry till transluscent.
• Add tomatoes, potato, tamarind paste and sambar powder. Add water. Cover and cook.
• Reduce the heat and cook till gravy is thick or till the oil seperates out |
