Thalassery Kozhi Curry Recipe

Ingredients:
• 1kg Chicken
• 1 Coconut - shredded
• 250gms finely chopped Onions
• 2tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
• Curry leaves
• 4tbsp Fennel seeds
• 1tsp Mustards seeds
• 5 Red chillies
• 5 Green chillies
• Coconut Oil
• Salt to taste

Method:

• Heat oil in a pan.
• Add fennel seeds, red chillies, green chillies.
• Add onions. Fry till they turn light brown.
• Add ginger garlic paste.
• Add the shredded coconut. Fry till it turns brown. Remove from heat, once cooled grind it to a fine paste.
• Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and curry leaves.
• When they splutter add the paste, chicken and salt to taste.
• Cook till the oil seperates out of the gravy. Ensure that the gravy is not too thick and not too watery.
• Serve it hot with Rice or Appam. |
