Tomato Rasam Recipe


Ingredients:

• 2 tbl spn toor dal
• 1 cup chopped tomatoes
• 3 cups(approx) water
• 1 1/2 tsp Rasam powder
• Mustard seeds
• few Curry leaves
• A pinch Asafoetida
• 1/2 tsp Tamarind extract
• few chopped Coriander leaves
• Oil
• Salt to taste

Method:
• Pressure cook toor dal in water and mash it very well, add water.
• Heat a little oil in a small pan and add mustard seeds. When they start popping, add curry leaves, asafortida.
• Add dal water, tomatoes and bring it to boil.
• Add tamarind, salt and rasam powder.
• Garnish with coriander leaves. Tomato Rice is ready to serve with rice and curry
