Palakoora Pappu Recipe


Palakura Pappu Recipe


Ingredients:
• One bunch of Spinach washed and cut
• 1 Cup Toor dal
• 1 Onion chopped
• 1 Tomato chopped
• 1 tsp Chilli Powder
• pinch of Turmeric powder
• lemon sized Tamarind
• Water
• Salt to taste
• Mustard seeds
• Cumin seeds
• 1 tsp Channa Dal
• 1 tsp Urad Dal
• Oil
• few Curry leaves
• few red chillies

Method:
• Soak tamarind in water for about an hour. Extract the pulp and keep it aside.
• Pressure cook spinach, toor dal, onion, tomato, tamrind pulp, chilli powder, tamarind powder, salt and water. Keep aside.
• Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds. When they splutter add cumin seeds, channa dal, urad dal, red chillies, curry leaves.
• Add it to the pressure cooked spinach mixture.
• Palakura pulusu is ready to serve with rice or chappati.
