Pappu Charu Recipe |

Method: |
• Soak tamarind in 2 cups of water for about an hour and extract the pulp • Pressure cook Toor dal with 2 cups of water till 3-4 whistles. Mash it and keep aside. • In a pan cook the brinjal, onions, bendakaya, tomato, green chillies, curry leaves on medium heat with 1 cup of water, • Add mashed dal, tamarind pulp, salt, turmeric powder and allow to boil in low flame. • Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds. When they splutter add crushed garlic, cumin seeds, red chillies, curry leaves. • Add this seasoning to pappu charu. • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve it hot. |
