Aval Kesari Recipe


Ingredients:

•1/2 cup Aval 
• 1 cup Sugar
• 1 cup Water 
• 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
• 1 tbsp Ghee
• A pinch Orange food colour 
• 6-7 Cashews
• 8-9 Raisins

Method:
• In a pan, fry the aval in 1-2 tsp ghee until turns light brown.
• Add the water and cook until the aval becomes soft and well done.
• Add the sugar, cardamom powder and food color, mix thoroughly.
• Add the remaining ghee little by little and cook until thickens.
• Heat 2 tsp ghee in a small pan, fry the cashews and raisins.
• Add the cashews and raising to the kesari, mix well.
• Garnish with a pinch of saffron.
