Paal Kozhukkattai Recipe

Ingredients:
• 2 Cup Boiled Rice (Puzhungal Arisi)
• 1 Coconut (shredded)
• 2 Cup Jaggery (shredded)
• 1 tsp Elaichi Powder

Method:

• Soak the rice in water. Grind it to a paste (not too thick not too watery) with a pinch of salt.
• Heat little oil in a pan, add the rice paste and keep mixing till it comes together well without lumps.
• Remove from heat and before it cools down, make little balls out of it.
• Grind the coconut with little water and filter the milk (about 1 Cup) out of it. Keep the milk aside.
• Grind the coconut again with more water and filter the milk (about 2 Cups) of it.
• Boil the 2 Cup Coconut Milk along with jaggery.
• Drop the flour balls into the hot milk mixture. Keep mixing till the flour balls gets cooked well and the hot milk thickens.
• Add the 1 Cup Coconut Milk and elaichi powder. Mix well.
• Paal Kozhukkattai is ready to eat.
