Rava Kesari Recipe

Ingredients:
• 1 Cup Rava
• 2 Cups Sugar
• 2 1/2 cups Water
• 1/2 Cup Ghee
• 10 Cashew Nuts (into small pieces)
• 4 pods Elaichi (powdered)
• 1tsp Color
• 1tsp RoseWater

Method:

• Heat 2 tsp ghee in a pan and roast the cashew nuts till they turn golden. Filter the cashews and keep aside
• In the same pan, roast the rava to light brown.
• Boil the water in a pan, add the roasted rava. Mix well and make sure there arent any lumps of rava.
• When rava gets cooked, add the sugar. Mix well.
• Add the color powder (optional) and the rosewater.
• Pour the liquid ghee in small portions and keep mixing.
• Add the elaichi powder and the roasted cashews.
• Keep mixing until the kesari wouldnt stick to the pan.
• Can be served hot or cold.
