• Dry roast the sesame seeds and grated coconut separately in a pan until nicely browned. • Heat Oil and slightly fry the red chillies • Allow it to cool and grind it along with the roasted ingredients to a fine powder and set aside. • Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds. Leave it to splutter • Add the Cumin seeds, red chillies, curry leaves, urad dal, channa dal, peanuts. • Remove from heat. Stir in the rice and the powder made earlier. • Serve with Thayir Pachadi, pickle or appalam/pappadom |
