Method: |
• Allow the Idlis to cool or use the leftover Idlis and cut it into cubes. • Chop onions finely. • Grind tomatoes to a fine paste. (Do not add water). • Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds. When they splutter, add urad dhal, hing and turmeric powder. • When golden brown, add chopped onions and saute till translucent. • Now add the tomato puree, and sambhar powder. • Add salt just for this mixture. (Already there is salt in the idli). Mix well. Saute till the raw smell is diffused. • Add the cubed idli pieces. Mix well till all the mixture is coated in the idli pieces evenly. • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve them hot. |
